Q | What are the most popular items on your menu? Why?
A | Currently, the most popular item on my menu is the pumpkin hand pie. Because I bake seasonal items, I use freshly roasted pumpkins for my pies. I’ve sold my hand pies at farmer’s markets and they have always been a favorite.
Q | Are there any items NOT on your menu that are staff favorites (that you’d be willing to serve up to any customer who asked)?
A | Four and Twenty Blackbird Bake Shop has a full bakery menu. Our breads are a huge hit, but they aren’t going to be sold on a daily basis on the food trailer. We are keeping the daily menu short and sweet, but everything is available via special order.
Q | You’re brand new to the food truck scene! Will you generally stay in one place or pop up all over town?
A | For the time being we are stationed primarily in front of Indianola Church of Christ at 2141 Indianola Avenue. I’m partnering with the church to develop a coffee shop in their building, so we are promoting the future coffee shop as well as expanding my bakery. After the coffee shop is up and running, I will be scouting out new locations.
Q | Do you have any seasonal items you’re currently featuring?
A | Harvest season is my favorite! We will be featuring pumpkin items (with freshly roasted pumpkins, of course), apple, pecans, and many more seasonal items.
Q | If asked, will you cater special events on-site?
A | I will! Once we get our feet on the ground, we will have catering services available.
It’s fall – who wouldn’t want to grab a delicious beignet and some One Line Coffee?!
