Q | What are the most popular items on your menu? Why?
A | Our Fork and Knife Burrito is one of our top sellers. It has potatoes,
black beans, avocado, mozzarella cheese, house-made salsa verde, and is
topped with two over easy eggs. It is just a big, hearty, comforting meal
that everyone can enjoy. We also offer freshly-squeezed orange juice and customers
love it. Mainly because it is freshly-squeezed to order, and also because
the machine used is cool to watch!
Q | Are there any items NOT on your menu that are staff favorites (that you’d be willing to serve up to any customer who asked)?
A | We used to have Baked Eggs on our menu, but took it off last year. People
still come in and ask for it and we will always make it if requested.
Q | Why is the baker so angry?!
A | This is a very common question. The name came from a nickname from a long
time ago. Everyone at The Angry Baker is very focused while working, but
no one is really angry.
Q | Chocolate Dr. Pepper cake. Please elaborate! Who came up with this idea?
A | A good friend of mine is from Texas. Dr. Pepper was created in Texas, and
my friend loved baking cakes using it as the main ingredient. I decided to
have the cake in the bakery as sort of an homage to him, and added fresh
blackberries and ganache to put it over the top.
Q | What makes your bakery different from others in the city?
A | I think what sets us apart is that we really do it all, and do it all from
scratch. We have a full pastry case every day, offer breakfast and lunch,
bake bread, make specialty cakes, provide wholesale bread and pastries to
restaurants all over Columbus, and we also provide catering.
