Q | What are the most popular items on your menu? Why?
A | The plantains are very popular (they’re hard to find around here!) – they’re sweet and served with the delicious YoYo sauce. The Mofongo sandwich is also a top-selling dish. The smoked pork is topped with slaw and it comes with a side of fries. (But plantains also go well together with this sandwich!)
Q | Are there any items NOT on your menu that are staff favorites (that you’d be willing to serve up to any customer who asked)?
A | Sometimes, if we have all the ingredients in house to make the dish! And if it’s not too crazy. :)
Q | When I think of Explorers Club, my mind automatically goes to Latin American food and a million options for vegans and vegetarians. What else defines the restaurant experience?
A | A menu that changes a lot, cool art (that also changes often), and a friendly staff with owners who work hard to give you great food.
Q | I’ve come by for your (FANTASTIC) brunch before, and because I was with a lot of people, I got to try a little of everything! For those who can only pick one or two dishes, what are the best brunch options?
A | Chilequiles (2 eggs, sautéed vegetables, jack cheese, chipotle-tomatillo salsa, and tortilla chips served with a choice of black beans or grilled potatoes) or Huevos Rancheros (2 eggs, corn tortillas, jack cheese, and house-made ranchero sauce served with black beans or grilled potatoes).
