So many bakery items ready to take home!

Q | What are the most popular items on your menu? Why?
A | Chocolate cream-filled donuts or glazed spud donuts. (Yes, spud as in made with potatoes!)

Q | Are there any items NOT on your menu that are staff favorites (that you’d be willing to serve up to any customer who asked)?
A | Custom orders are always being placed, and I have to say, garlic breadsticks are very popular right now. The locals are hooked! Another item that’s becoming more and more popular are the Philly cheese steak sandwiches. The southwest chicken salad is also a huge hit – it’s often on special and is served in a baked (not fried!) tortilla bowl.

Q | What items are unique to the Amish Country area?
A | Half moon pies! The first kind of half moon pie was the apple schnitz, but then we expanded from there and started using lots of different kinds of fruit filling.

Q | What makes your cafe so special?
A | We make as much as we can in-house (all the breads and meats for sandwiches, for example), and we use traditional recipes. For example, the pies are made with lard – which makes the crust so incredibly flaky and delicious!
