Q | What are the most popular items on your menu? Why?
A | Our most popular items on our menu are the tacos because our guests custom create whatever flavor combination they want. The most popular protein is the root beer braised beef.
Q | Are there any items NOT on your menu that are staff favorites (that you’d be willing to serve up to any customer who asked)?
A | We have a taco we call the carb overload. It’s a double flour shell with butternut squash puree and a hard shell to make a double decker. Filled with rice, queso blanco, onions, black beans, guac and dirty sauce. And yes, we would be willing to make it for anyone who asked!
Q | You’re brand new to the Short North! Welcome to the neighborhood! What makes Condado special?
A | I think Condado is special because you can get a fresh custom-created taco (that’s huge) for $3 and $4 dollars. We also have a happy hour from 4pm to 7pm in the bar and bar area; tacos are $1 off and margs are half price. We serve tacos until 2am, 7 days a week! Plus, we are starting brunch in 2 weeks that has awesome breakfast tacos and bowls like biscuits and gravy, hash tacos, and dirty morning breakfast tacos.
Q | Does Condado mean something? Is it Spanish for “best tacos in Columbus?” :P
A | Condado is the equivalent of “county/town/borough/neighborhood” in Spanish.
Q | I have to admit…I didn’t eat tacos until I stopped in a couple weeks ago and had the Los Sanchos tacos. (And I’ve been back since because they are amazing!) How did you come up with such flavorful combos?
A | Glad you like the Los Sanchos tacos! I eat a lot of tacos and the ones I like I put on the custom create menu.

The middle one is the current special taco: the Hanger Steak taco (steak marinated in a ginger brine, flour shell, butternut squash/chipotle puree, hard shell, roasted peppers and onions, smoked gouda, sundried tomato, herb pesto)


Wild Mushroom Queso is the current queso special!


Have you ever heard of pomegranate guac?! It is actually pretty fantastic!


Strawberry margarita – soooo classic.


El Diablo margarita (don’t ask me what’s in it – just go try it!)
