You know I sometimes have to break the regular format of Best of the Menu when I’ve got something cool to share or something food-related to praise. This week, Blue Apron falls into that category. Haven’t heard of it? Here, we’ll let them explain it…
I’m obsessed with this service for a few specific reasons:
- The delivery comes straight to my door. Yes, I still go to the grocery store, but for only a couple bags of items per week. I’m no longer lugging 8 bags up to my apartment.
- I’m cooking things I would’ve never thought to cook otherwise – I have six options per week and I get to pick the three that sound good to me.
- Since I live alone, the two-person/three-meal option per week is perfect: I make dinner one night and take the leftovers to work for lunch the next day – so I’m really getting six meals!
Without further adieu, here’s an example of opening a box and making one of my fabulous dishes I’ve had in the past couple weeks…
